Ansel was introduced to residential construction from a young age through his father’s company, Distinctive Carpentry. Many of Ansel’s high school and college summers were spent working on homes across Cape Elizabeth, South Portland, and Portland’s historic West End.
In May of 2020, Ansel graduated summa cum laude from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA with a B.A. in Sustainable Business and a minor in music and business. He has since been working in building sciences, industrial hygiene, and residential carpentry. Much of his work experience has been with national and municipal clients such as Starbucks, Sam’s Club, and the California Department of Water Resources improving efficiency and managing asset inventories. After moving back home to Maine, Ansel founded Regen Interiors in 2022.
At Regen, our biggest goals are to reduce waste and improve health in the context of our built environment. We utilize natural products whenever available, use low-dust practices in our construction work, and aren’t afraid of a little creative elbow grease to keep furniture and appliances out of the landfill. Whatever your project, we will strive to leave your space more functional, attractive, and clean.
Ansel is the BEST handyman I have ever had! He has helped me with several projects and was always on time, ready to get started and had some great ideas for me. He's hard working and dependable, which are traits that can be very hard to find these days! And one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I wish he hadn't moved away from Pittsburgh and have told him to always let me know when he is in town, just in case he has a free day to come over and help!!

Ansel and his crew were great to have work on our house in Falmouth. They were professional, showed up on time, and were reasonable. I would absolutely recommend Ansel to neighbors and family.
